Cool New Member with new 2020 Hideout 202LHS

Hello everyone, Love my new travel trailer. I am trying to set things up inside and have run into a problem trying to mount a TV by the dinette. I used a stud finder to find a stud and it appeared to be directly in the middle between the window and cabinets. I drilled a small hole and did not hit a stud. I can not find any information and where and how to mount a 19 inch TV on that wall. There are TV hookups directly next to the cabinets on the left in the ceiling. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello Ross,

First off, welcome to the forum, and congrats on your new Hideout!

I don't have any advice for you, beyond what you've already done with the stud finder. I'm sure one of our members who have experience mounting TV's will offer a suggestion soon!

Take care and be safe,

Gary

Welcome to the forum!

If you look closely on your wall, you will probably see the line of nail heads used to fasten the wall sheeting to the studs. You can also press on the wall and find the studs pretty easily. The wall sheeting has a lot of give to it and where the studs are is solid.

Sometimes there is a sticker where they prepped for a TV mount? It sounds like you don’t have that.

Anyways, I hope that helps and congrats on your new trailer!

I have the same TT as you and I mounted a swivel bracket to the cabinet with through bolts. I have a 19" tv mounted to it and works fine. I just used some larger fender washers on the inside of the cabinet.
