I am the mayor here and have been for 10 years,, if the tree is from the sidewalk to the street , it's the city's responsibility, or if it dies the City takes it down. Then we have restrictions of what kind of tree can be replanted and location approved. We try to keep them trimmed to 14.5 feet,, but every city or county may be different.

Exactly what he said......... It would be in the City Ordinances, but most are around 15 foot minimum. Cities may vary with homeowners responsibility or City's to maintain that. Just call the local city hall and they will tell you. Then must file the complaint to get it done properly.

Anyone that's stayed at James Island Campground in Charleston SC knows what it's like to drive through a virtual tunnel of trees to get there. You kind of hold your breath and then realize a dozen or so large 5ers and motorhomes go through there everyday. And these are not just branches brushing the roof but heavy limbs of live oaks that hover above you. But the city keeps them at a safe level and at the same time maintain strict protection of these ancient beauties. It's quite an experience.

Hidden Oaks rv park Rock port tex . After pulling through miles of heavy oak trees hanging on both sides of the streets . I had to drive down the center of the road avoid ripping off a roof . I'm not impressed.

Actually, I'm impressed that you got a site there.
I gave up trying.

Very familiar with the weather, I grew up in Corpus, and live in Waco...[emoji16] we've tried several times to get a spot for 7 to 10 days and no joy.
