Awning Sun Damage

After 3 years our awning started to peel on top from sun damage. I peeled it all off to good good material and then brushed it with elastomeric coating I got at HD for about 50 bucks. The second coat was rolled on 48 hrs later. This stuff stays on if you prep it accordingly, but we'll see. I've used this on RV roofs and other material before and it works super well. I may still lay a strip of 6" thin white linoleum along the top. I used to use a trailer cover but it did more harm than good.

Looks good as long as it stays pliable and doesn't start cracking. I guess if it does though your still ahead of the game by getting a couple more years out of it without having to replace it.

You can get a new spare tire cover from Besttop (excellent brand) for $20-30 or so if I recall.

I like to paint my own murals on my tire cover, no dealer ad for me. When a mural gets worn I roll this stuff on and this gives me a new canvass. The next mural is going to be a seascape for free, LOL.
