Boyd's Key West
We arrived here last night for 6 nights. Overall, the facilities are very nice. Great store, laundry, etc. The spots are TIGHT! My big slide is hitting the hedges on the utilitiy side, so I have to walk around the camper to open the front dump valves. Also, none of the sites have a threaded pipe in the ground for the sewer, just a pipe sticking up. I had to use duct tape to secure the adapter. At this price (139/night), tape shouldn't be required.
The scenery is awesome, though. We are in a waterfront site which is beautiful.

Look at any RV parts store for a "foam sewer ring". It is a reusable soft rubber concentric ring that fits on the end of your sewer connector and slips into the "campground pipe" to seal it. Cost is minimal (about $5) and beats the heck out of duct tape.
Here's one example: https://www.amazon.com/Camco-39313-S...+rv+sewer+ring
I agree with you, at "resort prices" you shouldn't have to buy extras, but then again, until recently, nobody had threaded connectors and everyone used rubber seals.
Have fun in Key West. I'm sure a lot of people in the northeast, central states and now even the southeast are wishing they had a "cramped site" next to yours.....

Thanks for the link. I didn't know anything like that existed.

Hope you have a great time. Duval street is pretty cool....once. We had always wanted to go there, and in fact have gone twice, but it's one of those things where a little bit goes a long way. There is a great little restaurant on the beach by the Southernmost Hotel that serves some really good food right by the surf. Don't know if that happens this time of year.

We have been visiting Key West for many years, first time back in the early 70's. Not much to see nowadays like "back in the day." Very touristy and working more and more towards family oriented entertainment. Another area that is taking the same route as the French Quarter in New Orleans.
