Stand by, this may get published in Trailer Life Magazine as we're in communications now about it. Thanks for all the wonderful feedback and ideas on how to do "City Water Hook-Up - Done Right". I think this is a perfect project for there "10-Minute Tech" series. A little show and tell.

Great tip. Thanks very much. We used the exact same water filter as in your photos, but I didn't like that it is sealed and probably never dries out between trips. I changed it annually, but always had concerns about mold and mildew.

We went to a two stage filter system. First stage removes sediment, second stage is a carbon filter for taste and odor. Best part is I can remove the filters from the housing and dry them out between trips.

Thanks again for your post. I am headed to Lowes tomorrow.

Ps. Nice rig!

Do you have the info on the system you use? I've been checking them out figuring which one to settle on.

Right now we use the same inline filter and have been using the angle on the hose for a while now which helps take some stress off the connection but I'll tell you I wish I saw this earlier today. I was at Lowes this afternoon. Picking one up next time I'm out to fill that hole!
I was looking at that last month when we were camping in Bar Harbor and said I've gotta figure something out for this. Thanks for doing just that!

I have the Dual Canister pkg: 2W, 2-SED5 + 1-RV-KDF/GAC system. Ordered it on line from RVWaterFilterStore.com. Check it out and see what you think.
