I think I'll "plunge" into your water hose idea to plug the convenience area hole!

Nice job! I'm gonna get the toilet plunger tomorrow... DW vetoed using the one we already have... don't know why! LOL
Take it to the next level, and leave the brass 90 in place full time. If your city water hose install point is as flimsy as mine, it will make hooking up the hose a lot easier. The existing plug will reach the 90, so don't worry about that.

Great idea - especially since my rodent guard is a tee shirt wadded in the hole.
One step further would be to add a quick disconnect to the hose at the 90* ell. That fitting on the Montana's is kinda floppy and the ell is kinda tight at the panel to tighten well. I also put my Camco filter at the CG spigot also with a quick disconnect from the hose though that is a matter of choice.
This is the quick disconnect I use. There are some ho-hum reviews but I rate it high after installing a new washer: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Melnor-2-...ose+disconnect

Great idea! I do just about the same thing except i put the pressure regulator on the spigot to protect the whole length of hose too. I woke up one morning to find my neighbors had sprung a huge leak at night and flooded a few campsites.

Glad you liked it. When I walked the Lowes store and caught a glimpse of this product a light bulb went off and I wondered if I modified this thing would it fit the hole? Turns out it fit perfect! It is an innovative cost effective product that seems like it would be a standard thing offered in an RV store. If I ran an RV store I would consider making some of these to sell. Show the install photo and the rest is history. Camping World you listening? I wonder what it would sell for all cut up and ready to go?
Pressure reg before hose is also a better idea as stated.

not to change topic, but how do you like the front kitchen? How does it tow? What is your TV?
The wife and I are looking for our first 5'er and going back and forth on the front living room and front kitchen.

Thanks for sharing the idea and pictures. Makes perfect sense. I got a two pack of plastic quick connects at ACE Hardware, I leave the the elbows and disconnects attached to the black water tank flush and the fresh water connections. Makes it easy to switch one to the other.

We came from a 2002 Keystone Challenger travel trailer with a front kitchen the last year Challenger made a travel trailer. I am so used to the front kitchen layout I am not sure I can properly give you any other opinion except that I loved this new 3820FK 5th wheel the second I saw it. Maybe because I already loved what I had, lots of memories in our FK TT. I was hunting around a few months back looking at 5th wheels on-line and watched this video and was sold.
We have not towed it yet. I bought it from Sunshine RV in Lake Havasu City, AZ and they set it on our RV spot. I am getting the hitch installed next week and will move it at the end of the month. Were only going to move it 2 or 3 times a year as we more or less set it up as a 2nd home and make our weekends a little longer so we can enjoy a long weekend as I am still working and running a HVAC business.
As you will see in this linked video the two TV's come with the rig along with a fireplace. Wife was puzzled why I had the fireplace on when it was over 100° outside. I said ambience. It does not put out any heat unless you want it to so I said why not have it on once in a while. We set up Direct TV in the living rm with a DVR box. Never had Direct before in our RV.
Our best friends bought the Montana front living rm model and were going to be parking these things right next to each other for the next 9 months. We both have the front windshield. There rig has 6 slides and I have 5. Looking forward to some fun times as our kids even still like to go camping with us, if you can call it that.

Nice, thanks for the feeback, the dealers in and around CT take the TV's out and sell them as an option, lol. We're going back and forth with the FL and FK, we're going to the Hershey show to look at some other models as well, but I'm pretty much sold on the Montana overall.
