Accessing 21 RBS Water Pump

I know where the water pump is. I found two of the screws but can't find the screws toward the back. I am fairly certain there are some back there but can't feel the screw heads through the carpet. I would like any thoughts you might have that would help finding them.

Thanks
GrandBob

I use a dental pick. You can also use a magnet.

I don't have a pick but that gave me the idea to try a card scraper to find the bump.

Thanks

I have the same setup, on mine the 2 screws are on the left and the right on the very back of the step.
After I unscrewed them I just left the screws out as I can't ever see using the step ever.
