Hello!

Found the forums while looking for information about the Cougar 327RES. We are looking to trade our current RV for the Cougar. We have looked at fifth wheels for over a year. Spent a few minutes in the 327 the other night and fell in love with it. Great use of space and the setup will work perfect for the two of us.

Welcome advice from others and look foward to talking to y'all. We have towed a trailer and had the class A experience but this will be our first experience with a fifth wheel. Our TV is a '14 Chevy 2500HD with the 4.10 gear setup. With the standard (short) bed, we plan to use a slider hitch for any potential tight spots. We also dry camp quite a bit so we are looking at the Honda 3000 generator. Any surprises with any of this we have not considered?

Happy Camping!

Thanks GaryWT. We are pretty stoked about the switch. The deal is all but done. Just finishing the fine print, get the hitch installed and we should be good to go. Been a crazy year so these new changes are much welcome.

and congrats on the new camper. You will love it I see a lot of them on the road. You will be fine with the short bed. We pulled an 34ft. Mountaineer for 8 years and never used our slider. been in all kinds of tight spots.
