Trailer Lights/brakes and LED problem

Towing with our new F450 we kept getting the message that the trailer was no longer hooked to the TV. Back and forth, back and forth. A couple with a relatively new Chevy 3500 and a new RV of some sort told us they had the same problem. Seems that new trucks don't like the LED set up on newer RV's and need an adapter. Here is said adapter, pictures front and back. I hooked it up sitting still and so far it works fine. If need be, turn your head sideways or turn your laptop on its edge....

It appears that the LED lights on the trailer do not have enough resistance to be recognized by the new TV. (common problem) The adapter you purchased incorporates resisters so the TV can see the trailers LED lights. So far so good. Now leave the adapter plugged into the TV and unplug the trailer. I aim curious to see if the TV recognizes that the trailer is not hooked up.

Interesting Jim and Frank. Perhaps this may be the problem for some members who have had this issue.
Don't see this problem with the new TT yet but will save this part # for future reference.
Thanks for the info.
