Great work Greg,
The tiles looks good, I think I will do the same this spring.
I like your spice rack, it was in your model I think at that time? You also have the kitchen window like mine, that is nice, some model plans of the same model, year do not have the kitchen window. We are happy to have it.

How did you remove, I tried and there is agressive glue there, I was scared the wall would come with it...

Hello,
The spice rack was included with the camper. It also. Hides the blind'swhen you pull them all the way up. I do like having the window.
I used a hair dryer and a plastic scraper to remove the border it came off easily. I think it would also be fine putting the smart tiles over the border. It would not show through at all.

Looks great! better than the wallpaper border. I have been thinking to do this upgrade also where did you get the tiles at Home depot or Lowe's.
Thanks for the pic

I got them at Home Depot. I have seen them at Lowes also though. It was a simple project.

Do you have to then grout these? if so, what sort of grout did you use?
Looks very nice.

No grout! These aren't real tiles. They are a raised, glossy, simulated tile on a peel and stick sheet. It is easily cut with a knife or scissors. Great for use in a camper because of the movement and shaking.

The peel and stick tile are super light compare to regular tile also. I got mine at Lowe's.

We did our Raptor and turned out great, of course we got a Montana just after we did it. Oh well, it did turn out very nice. Everyone we showed it to thought we sent the trailer out and had it professionally done!

I think you meant to say, "My wife likes this, so I know I would."
And of course, sarcastically you'd respond, "Geez, since my wife likes this, I now have another project - Thanks a lot!"

Went to the RV show here in Erie this weekend and saw a new TT with smart tiles installed. Forgive me for not noting the make/model Not sure if it was factory or dealer installed, didn't see a dealer rep to ask.

We sure like the look of the tiles and looking at this project ourselves
Here's something to keep in mind when planning a Smart Tile project
Smart Tiles are made of a plastic material and can melt or discolor if installed too close to the gas stove burner
The manufacturer reccomends that
unless there is a metal baffle plate between the stove burners and the tiles,
Don't install no closer than 15" from stove flame and keeping a distance of 2" from toasters ..etc
Hope this info helps when installing this product

I am noticing the new Bullets have a small area behind the stove that look like smart tiles. This is one project we haven't done, but I really do like the look.
