I certainly prefer a wood fire to propane. Although there is the benefit of being able to use the propane fire pit during "bans" due to dry conditions ( as is often the case in Arizona. The high cost of propane is what keeps me away.

Looks identical to the one I just bought at Costco....very compact yet gives you a fire in a pinch. I too prefer real fires but this works great when you don't have the time or hassle.
