Ashville N.C./ Blue ridge parkway

Still new to pulling a TT. ( 2003 F150/ 4.6L / screw- Keystone 19' 4100 lbs. dry) I was thinking of going to ashville from gulf coast of Mississippi . These are not the Rockies but has anyone make this trip with a similar rig?
I do have a brake controller, transmission cooler on my ford pickup. Have made two short trips on flat land and its not stressful towing just typical issues when semi's go by or it's windy. I learned not to use OD or cruise! Have WD hitch and sway bar. Thanks for your comments/advice......Kenny

We just returned a week ago from a round trip to Hilton Head. We pull at 9600 lbs loaded with a Ram 1500 1/2 ton tuck. Other than the one gorge, we had no white nuckle moments despite the occasional blinding down poors.
I dont see any significant obstacles for your trip.

Thanks for your reply. Do you have the 5.7 hemi? I am going to give it a go in mid June. I feel like it will be fine, just wanted to hear from others, just for peace of mind i guess...... I am not a fan of towing anyway but I have to say we love the camper and being able to disconnect once we get to our location.

I've read that the Blue Ridge Parkway has many low tunnels. Be careful.
