Thought about using them, do they hold while going down the road, or do the knives fall off?

canesfan I haven't traveled with it yet but they stick really well. Probably not recommended to travel while loaded. Some other members might have some "experience" with it, Anyone?

We just use an old block we had in the house. Keep it and the knives on the counter in the outdoor kitchen. Good luck with you set up. Might want to try it with just one knife on the first trip.

We installed one that was similar. Ours is about 12" long and holds about 5 knives. After several trips we have yet to find any knives that have fallen.

I put one in my Terrain, loaded it with big and small knives. After around 1500 miles the knives have never moved during travel.

You might want to put them knifes on there with the handles up in case the blade slides on that magnet during travel.
