How Do I Clean My Kitchen Pull Down Faucet?

I have a 3791RD with a Pull down kitchen faucet. I have noticed that it has a build up of lime in the line and the water pressure is low. I know I can put it in lime away but am afraid it might destroy the plastic parts on the pull down hose. Is there anything I can do to disassemble the faucet to clean it out?

Thanks
Larry

Try plain white vinegar or fresh lemon juice on a Mr Clean Magic Eraser.

Doesn't the faucet tip unscrew?
Haven't looked at ours, but the one in our kitchen in the house does.

In any case, Lime Away will not hurt any of the plastic parts.

The kitchen faucet in our house has plastic parts inside, and I use Lime Away about twice a year on it without issues.

I am more worried about the Aluminum finish. Also, I can remove the faucet head but I think there is a aerator inside that I don’t know how to remove. I heard that it may need a special tool to disassemble.

I think you can order a faucet aerator removal key from Amazon. Or get one at Home Depot.

The pull down head in our kitchen faucet has a tiny and hard to notice Allen head screw that allows you to take the head apart…apart down to the plastic cartridge. I did not try to get into the guts - just cleaned up what I could.
