Open Ground

I have a new Honda EU3200i inverter that I am attempting to use for the first time with my 3791RD. I am attempting to use the 120v / 30amp outlet on the generator/inverter. I have no intention of using the AC units (or any other large amp appliances) so this should provide sufficient power for my electrical needs. I purchased 2 different three pin twist lock 30amp harness. One harness goes from twist lock to 30 amp Rv plug and the other goes from twist lock to 50 amp Rv plug. Both are camco harness. I have a 50 amp surge guard unit that I use out at the post in addition to the factory on board surge protector (Surge Guard 41261). When I plug the inverter into my portable Surge Guard, unit is reading “open ground”. I have used both harnesses to plug into surge guard before plugging in the RV and in both instances, I receive “open ground” on surge guard unit. Ive tested all terminals with a multi tester and everything appears correct (power where it is suppose to be). I’m familiar and comfortable with working with electrics but I am by no means an electrician. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
