Change ir remote to wall tsat

2005 keystone 5th wheel. Infrared remote quit working. Does any one know how to convert to wired wall thermostat? The old links don't work.

You’re welcome, not a career I would enjoy now a days.

I’m thinking, and I need to research a bit more. I worked on a trailer with that set up but it was 2 years ago, for about 30 minutes.

Are you referring to the Dometic Infra Red Remote Control thermostat system installed in the 2005 Montana years? If yes, there is an old, very long, discussion on the POS. Amazingly enough, just this year two people were able to replace their systems and shared the newest part numbers. Maybe this will help you. You probably want to skip over the early stuff, other than for background, and concentrate on the Posts around #300 and later.

If you want to eliminate the remote control as the issue, you can test it using a digital camera.

Point the remote straight into the lens and then look thru the viewfinder. Turn the camera on, and push one of the buttons on the remote and you can see the IR signal in the viewfinder if the remote is working.

Just a thought.

Cheers!
