Changed trucks

While finally received the new truck. Changed from a f250 to a f350. Does anyone think there will be a problem with changing the 5 th wheel hitch pull right slider. The f250 2019 the hitch was mounted to rails. The new truck 2022 f350 has the puck system. I mounted the hitch into the new truck but haven’t been able to hook up to see if everything is the same. Been pouring rain and thunder so haven’t messed with it. Anyone think anything will change

If you’re using the picture frame adapter for rails with the puck system, it sits quite a bit higher than your old rails. May have to adjust the height of your hitch.

Don't forget about the break in recommendations for your new truck. I believe it's still "no towing for the first 1,000 miles, then light towing at varying speeds for the next 500 miles. That's (as I understand the recommendation) more for the transmission and the pinion/ring gears in the axles than it is for the engine.

It's on page 373 in the owner's manual...

Thanks for the reminder of towing.

We got our new truck less than two months ago and we waited to a little over 1,000 miles before towing. Even then you could tell things were still breaking in when we stopped at our destination, it smelled hot and bothered, but all temps remained in spec and fluid levels were good. Our around town fuel mileage has gotten better since that trip too, of course that is offset by the cost of fuel!
