2520RL slide motor location

I've searched "slide motor" and find a ton of info on everything but what I need. Before ever needing access I'd like to know where my cable motor is for my 2520RL slide? Anyone know?

Likely behind the fascia board above the dinette area.

Yup!! Most common location is above the slide in the middle.

The “top” layer is brad nailed, the board underneath is screwed into the slide frame. Should be large Phillips, but a #2 roberts head will work.

I guess I won't mess with it until it breaks. At least I now know where it resides. Thanks!

You should have an “override” tool also. It will be a flexible shaft with a square tip but that you can put on a drill to move the room if the motor fails.

Also it is pretty easy to access when the slide is retracted ..You only need to remove the fascia I would imagine if it failed in the extended position

Just setup a small ladder to see it …although reaching it you may need to have the slide partially retracted but I’m sure someone knows the proper way

Since you all have helped me find it, here's a pic of it where you said it would be. I just had to get a foot stool to look there. I have the over-ride tool, but it's only about 12 inches long, and that's a long reach to the motor.

I use a couple of 12" quarter inch drive extension bars, that gives you another 2' of "arm length". Usually you can stand at the corner of the slide and reach the motor drive that way. Even if you remove the fascia, on a "deep slide" it's still a long reach to get to the motor with just the 10" flexible drive.....
