Holding tanks?

Good morning new here and new to my camper a 2020 keystone passport 2950 gt. Specs say I have 1 black & 1 gray but on the control panel I have buttons for gray 1 & 2 same for the black. Outside I have at the rear the gray and black handles that come out of the same dump. Then a gray Handel towards the front that is for the kitchen sink I am sure. No Landry hook up in the camper. My question I guess is do I have 2 black tanks and how does that work? And what is the size of the one for the sink? Thanks have a great day.

Based on the number of dump handles you have,... I would say you have 2 grey and 1 black.

You can go to the Keystone website for specs on your year/model RV.

I would guess you have 2 gray tanks of 38 gal. and 1 black tank. The "specs" typically indicate total capacity and not number of tanks.looking at your floor plan the kitchen is centered and the bayh is in the rear. That makes a plumbing run for the kitchen sink too far to reach a rear tank. I see one toilet so only one black tank is necessary.

The two that come together to one outlet will be your bathroom. One handle is for the black tank (only 1) - toilet, and the other handle is for the grey tank (shower and bathroom sink).

The one that is by itself is for the kitchen sink.

The panel with the push buttons is a generic panel Keystone put is pretty much every RV. They are not built specific to your specific camper. If the camper had 4 tanks (2 black and 2 grey) then the buttons would be wired to each tank. But considering yours has only the 3 tanks, you'll use only the 3 buttons for those tanks. You'll need to figure out which one is for the black tank you actually have, and which one goes to nothing. The first time you fill you black tank one of the buttons will light up full, the other will not. Then you'll know. Same for your grey tanks.

The easiest way to be 100% sure which dump valve goes to which tank is to make sure all of them are completely empty. Then run water from one faucet, wait a couple minutes, then open each valve one at a time. Let it completely drain and then run another faucet and see which valve dumps it. Then you'll know for sure.

Then once you've figured out which button is which forget about them, typically they are so inaccurate that they tell you nothing of any use.
Yes there's potions & magic elixirs to put in the tanks to clean the sensors & some times they may work for a couple of tank fulls before they're of no use again.
The black tank will give a very distinctive burp/gurgle when flushing the toilet when nearing full. The bath grey tank will back up into the shower, usually at a very inopportune time, when full which will happen the quickest of all the tanks unless everyone is good at taking Navy showers. The kitchen grey should be good til the other 2 need dumped unless you run excessive amounts of water to wash dishes.

^^ Yup, tried 'em all. Now I'll push the buttons about once or twice a season to see if they still light up.
