If the Alpine is not plugged into shore power and the fridge is set to AUTO, it should automatically switch over to propane. If you plug in to shore power, it will defer to electricity and should also work. Electricity takes priority over propane IF both options are available. Make sure you are getting propane --- turn on the stove and light it.
How do you know that the fridge is not running? It doesn't make a sound like your stick-house fridge except for the quite quiet sound of the fan. If the light is on AUTO, it is probably working.
It also takes several hours for the fridge to become cold when you turn it on. If you turn it on tonight, it should be cold in the morning but count on 12 hours for it to cool down.
