ISO Bluetooth Thermostat for Dometic, And Reposition

I have a 27-foot Keystone by Springdale. Great fun but little head aches. It has a Dometic AC and thermostat.

The thermostat cover falls off consistently, usually as a result of driving, people walking in the trailer, kids getting in and out of the upper bunk, and the bathroom door opening and closing.

I believe it is in a bad position in the trailer, on the wall between the bunks and the bathroom, which makes it even more vulnerable as this is a high traffic area. Luckily the buttons work even without the cover on it.

Anyone know of a way to have it moved somewhere different in the trailer without impacting the warranty, and anyone know of a thermostat replacement that can work via bluetooth on an iPhone app?

Sounds like you have the capacitive touch thermostat. Micro air is the only replacement that works.

The Micro Aire is likely available for that unit, albeit a bit pricey. It can be operated at the thermostat itself, or via Bluetooth, or WiFi......if you have a decent wifi signal in the trailer. If you do the wifi thing, you can monitor AND control the thermostat from anywhere in the world that you have internet access and the app on your phone. We also use ours for temperature monitoring on the rare occasion that we leave our dog in the trailer for a few hours.

I installed the Micro Aire, it mostly works.

At night, a couple times, when set on “At Home” the temperature fell below the set point and the furnace did not come on. I had to turn it off and then on to get it to turn back on. When set “Away” it seemed to work better.

Have you heard of this happening when set to “At Home” or do you have any advice?
