That piece from Amazon looks a lot like the short hose piece that comes with some Camco water filters. I have several sitting in my parts box in my pass through. Most all leak and I use a regular short hose.

I got tired of those short Camco things so thought I would buy some "upgraded" short hoses. Went to hook one up in MS and the hose came off the entire brass end on the faucet! So much for "upgraded", I too use a short hose now.
