new ac configuration?

noticed that the new 2022 keystone cougar fifth wheels at the dealership i purchased mine at have a different configuration.

mine came with the living room/ kitchen ac installed in the rearmost fan access in the roof.
the middle one, closest to the entrance door and middle of the rig is a fantastic fan and then the bedroom one we have the second ac
.
is this something new because acs were hard to come by and the dealer may not be able to find a second bedroom ac?

i realize that the middle of the rig is the best spot for a single ac but most people i think tend to get the second ac unit unless you live up north

That's the same A/C configuration as my 2021 fifth wheel. Floor plan looks very similar also.

Mine is as you describe. I don't know why they have changed that location. I guess they figure with the racetrack ducting and the new "blade" vents it doesn't matter where it is. I would rather have them on the ends to sort of maximize the volume of air out of all the vents, particularly those in the living area with all that glass.

yeah just thought it was a little odd to change it to the middle..guess that changes where all the ac wiring is and nothing to the rear anymore…maybe saved them $8.00 in electric wire multiplied by thousands of rvs ..because the breaker box is closer to the ac now

Perhaps it's to maximize cooler air flow to both ends if you have only the one AC.

Edit...Duh! I see that Jasin already mentioned that. Makes sense, though

Perhaps the engineers got together and figured it would save 55 cents to install that way?
