5th wheel tires.
I have a Cougar 336bhs. Does anyone know what the wheel rating is for this trailer? I would like to upgrade to G rated tires, but they require 110 psi. Not sure if the wheels are rated for this. Thank you!

What size tires do you have now? What’s the current rating? How many lugs per wheel? On the back of the wheels should be a stamp that tells you the psi rating. It’s not always easy to see but you could crawl under and take a look.

Only way to know for sure is to pull one and check the back. Sometimes the wheel brand and model is stamped on the front and you can check the manufacturers website. FYI, if they’re not rated for 110 psi, but are rated for 95, you can get LRFs that use 95 as the max and will give you some additional piece of mind without changing the wheels. I doubt you’ll be able to see the stamp on the back without removing a wheel. The brake drum is normally in the way

Rvusa shows it came with 235/80r 16LRE tires. I'm not sure your wheels will be rated to go to 110psi for the LRG. They might however allow the 95psi for the LRF but you would have to look.
As far as going to the LRF that would be overkill IMO. The trailer has a gvw of 12,290. The OE LRE tires rated at 3420 = 13680lbs. in load capacity. The LRF at 3750 = 15000lbs. The LRF would give you a capacity reserve of 22% over the GVW of the trailer, not the supposed "weight" of the trailer after deducting the pin weight. That should be sufficient. Check those wheels.

With a 5er GVWR 12,290#do like I did and put LT tires on it! You likely carry less than 10,000# on the axles and even though my LT’s only have a rating of 3,042#, that is more than enough to cover the weight and far more substantial tire.

How many potholes and curbs do you hit with tires on your truck in their lifetime and never have a blowout??
How many times have you hit a curb with an ST tire and had a blowout 50 miles down the road?
No, LT’s won’t cover all trailers, but up to about 13,000# GVWR 5th Wheel, they have enough capacity.
