Got my attention. I wonder what the original poster ended up doing?

Getting on the roof

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this only place I could find to post I have a keystone Passport Elite 19rb and I want to put a cover on. Is it safe or ok to get on the roof? I have been told yes and I have been told no. I do not have a mounted ladder and I could not find it in the manual.

The general rule is if you don’t have a ladder, the roof isn’t walkable. I’ve heard others suggest that you can use a 4x8 piece of rigid foam insulation to distribute your weight if you want to try to get up there.

I think most people in the forum aren’t big fans of RV covers. They seem to do more harm than good. For example, you never see RVs covered at the dealership and they can be sitting out there for a while.

Typically I never look anywhere but the "recent threads" column as all posts, regardless of RV type, show up there, much easier than scrolling through all of the particular categories. Plus that indicates that they were using the "search" tab to resurrect an old question.
Just my .02 cents!
As to the recent question, NO, I would not use a cover whether roof was walkable or not. They are a PITA to put on, don't hold up well in the wind & if left to flap will chaff everywhere it makes contact with the RV.
Again my .02 cents!

Just curious, how many months per year is it under cover? I've seen 20 yr old units that look new and 2 year old units that are trashed. Of course keeping any vehicle under cover is ideal, just curious in the assumption that it would be ju7nk by now.

That's the way I look at threads as well but that doesn't mean everyone does nor should. If the poster was so search savvy then he most likely would have found his answere's several times over. I'm just trying to help the poster out, not start a debate.
