I stayed with the 205 tires because of the clearance issues. There was probably enough, but I ended up staying with the stock size and went up to the D load range. I had at least 3" above the stock 205 tires and I felt a little unsure of making that measurement smaller.

While the wheels were off, I painted the wheels and brake drums as well as checked the bearings and brakes. Everything seemed to be in order for our trip next Friday.

I highly recommend realdealtires.com.

Jimmy-

How did you get them mounted and balanced at Belle Tire for FREE?

Thanks!

No idea honestly. I bought a couple of sets of tires from them over the years. I asked if they could mount and balance the tires and they said sure. They asked for my phone number and I asked how much extra would it be for new valve stems and they replied no charge for any of it. OK, thanks!
