I have a 2022 Keystom cougar. We bought the cougar again because we were happy with the 2019, but couldn't put the washer in the 2019. I am so not happy with this 2022 right now. If Keystone knew they forgot a part they should have sent it out earlier then when it caused other parts to break down. I have been without heat for a week now. This socks having an autoimmune illness and being in pain from the cold. I can't even go toa hotel because I have 6 furbabies....we suffer together. Thank Keystone for making me freeze.

What part? Did you take delivery of this trailer knowing it needed this part?

Your trailer has a 50 amp electrical service. Right now it's not "that cold" in Maryland. We are in Mt Airy, NC with similar temperatures and weather conditions. All we have used for the past 2 weeks is a small electric heater to warm the trailer. It has not been cold in our Cougar, in fact, it's only been "chilly" when we return after being gone for a while. We do not leave the space heater turned on if not in the trailer.

Since you have 6 dogs that could get too close to a "hot space heater element", they are probably not the best choice for your situation. Have you considered a couple of oil filled "radiator type, electric heaters" ???

They would keep your trailer relatively warm in this type temperature so you'd be comfortable living in your Cougar until Keystone and your dealer can get your HVAC system working again.

Not that Chuckster needs me to take up for his choice of words, but I also wondered the same thing.
I realize that you're upset with the manufacturer, but they don't hang out here. Never have. About all you'll get here is a tad of sympathy and probably some help with your problem(s).
With the body heat of 6 'fur-babies' and one 1500 watt oil filled heater your RV will be warm enough. And if the need arises plug in a second heater. If you plan on wintering in Maryland then just buy two heaters and be done with it.

I am not asking for sympathy and my fur babies are shi tzus. As for being in the cold I have an autoimmune illness. So before you speak know somebody's story. Yes I live in my camper I have done several winters in an rve did one in this one when the heat works I don't need a space heater as I have a primers coach.

Dumb? Not if you do what I do for a living and as long as I have. Do you know what part you need? It may be a supply issue

My husband is a truck driver so he is out in the cold. I was a teacher until I became fully disables with autoimmune illness. Not everybody can live in the cold mo matter how mild it to u. Cold is relative to the person.

Geez, I'm really hesitant to jump in here, but are you talking about the missing EOL (end of line) resistor in the bedroom AC unit? I was missing one for about a year before I found out it was missing and ran my AC. Lots of folks were missing them. Nothing was damaged.

But it sounds like you have other issues with the InCommand since you can't control the heat.

My wife likes it much warmer than I do also - she plugs in an electric blanket about a half hour before bedtime and that warms the bed up well. I guess you could use it all night, but we don't.

...and speaking of the EOL Resistor

Somehow after I moved, I ended up with two EOL resistors from Keystone.

If anyone still needs one, PM me with your address and I'll get it in the mail to you.

Oil filled heaters are typically 1500w (12.5A) so more than one may not work if running other electrical devices with high draw. I use oil filled heaters in my shops as they have less chance for a fire (I use some chemicals and carb cleaner).

We camp with a long hair Siamese cat. Burning cat fur is not my favorite so we use oil filled radiators.

A 50 Amp trailer should have no issue running 2 space heaters simultaneously unless all the outlets are on one 15 Amp breaker.

Ok, what part did they forget?
And what other parts broke down because of this?

Lots of very knowledgeable members here that might be able to help with a little more details.

I use one of these. It's not a oil filled and doesn't get hot. I don't thing you could start a fire even if you tried.

We use the same thing in the bedroom. Works great!

They forgot the relay plug in the air-conditioning vent. Because I used the hvac system without it, I broke either the control box to the air-conditioning or the gateway which will be replaced Fri Morn. Thanks

We we told that the gate way broke because we used the hvac system with out the relay we changed the gateway and the air-conditioning contr9l panel and still no heat. Any ideas of what to look for now would be greatly appreciated. The rv guy is coming back Monday to try to trace the electrical system to see if its a loose connection. I hope so me and my babies need heat. I also need humidity control, all my clothes r damp in the closet.
