Peel up the vinyl floor ? Bullet Premier
Greetings all !
Looking for tips as to how to attack pealing back the vinyl floor in the bedroom of my camper.
Im hoping to be able to peal it up without cutting it so I can address the soft floor underneath and then place it back down.
any help is greatly appreciated !

Welcome to the forum
Generally when any trailer is built, the vinyl floor is placed on the floor before any walls or fixtures are installed. It is secured at the edges, and “floats” in the middle. Unless you take out cabinets, walls, bed base etc. your going to have to cut the vinyl. Once done you can then glue it back in place, and use molding along the edges.

Ok that's sort of what I was thinking and wanted reassurance that was the case. I figured Id cut along the wall then put some molding back on to cover the seam.
Thank you for the fast reply !

I did this in our previous TT.
I cut carefully around edge of wall and cabinetry. once floor was repaired, I glued the vinyl back down. You couldn't really tell it was ever pulled up.
Just be careful - I lost balance working and stepped on the folded over vinyl, so it put a crease in it. Smoothed out OK when I put it back down, but if you looked for it you could find it.

What year is your Premier? My 2018 has a soft floor and Keystone is bringing it back to the factory to replace the floor. They actually picked it up this week. It is a known problem and yours may be covered for the repairs as well. Call your dealer.

It’s a 2017 premier 26rbpr
I was in email contact with the factory and was “seal maintenance is the responsibility of the purchaser “
Then they ghosted me .

I would call Keystone again. This has been a known issue with the floors.
Call customer owners care and ask for Alisha Howton. She was a great help with me.
You will probably be directed to take it to the dealer for evaluation. The slam hatches among other things causes this issue. Not just routine maintainence.

I'm glad you asked that question! I have a soft spot in the kitchen floor, most likely due to a disintegrated fridge drain tube, and I was also curious about the glue situation.

It was no problem - razor knife along the edge and it lifts right up

Did you have to add any 2x4 blocking underneath to support new plywood, or attach to aluminium frames? Thanks.

I only removed the soggy wood / goo on top of the foam and replaced it with 1/8” underpayment . I glued that down with construction adhesive and then glued the floor back down

Gotcha. In the kitchen I believe the subfloor is 5/8" plywood so a slightly different challenge. Cheers!
