No idea what this does

Could someone please tell me what this does?
I realize it says battery disconnect switch but no clue what it is doing.
It is located in the entryway of my 2008 Fuzion 373.
Is it stock or did someone add it in later? I can't find any information in the
owners manual

That is the factory location for the battery disconnect. If you turn the key to the left it will disconnect the battery(s) from the trailer. Most people turn it off and pull the key out so they know the battery is off. If your plugged into shore power the battery is NOT charging unless the key is inserted and turned as far to right as it will go.

Ours either pushes in or out. If you turn the knob it just unscrews

I was making a chocolate pie while I was responding, sorry.

If your trailer is going to sit somewhere not plugged in, the disconnect will allow the battery(s) to last longer.
