Propane Tank Lines

I had a " thing" happen last weekend just before I was suppose to pull the trailer out of storage for a camping trip.
Topped 1 tank off that was pretty low and in the process noticed how the rubber lines looked sort of tight against the tank cover , but over the last 4 years never paid much attention.
Next day I go through the truck / trailer setup check list ....find a burst line and all that wonderful propane escaped to the atmosphere!
Replaced both sides with braied steel lines....ready to try it again!Click image for larger version

The original pig tails on our rig became hard as a rock after a few years. A propane guy from the local propane dealer told me that the pig tails were made with a cheap plastic covered hose and that I should replace them with better rubber covered hoses. These are still soft and flexible seven years later.
