Made some Sliding Drawer's for front Pass Thru
About 16" Wide, Each one about 47" long, 3" deep, 1/2" plywood.
For the uprights - 2x8s, routed them 3/4" deep, 3 +" wide, and high enough to clear the bottom lip of the pass throughs, left an inch or so on top. Put 4 pieces of 3" wide plywood between the uprights on the bottom, to help keep them vertical, and one in the center on top. Secured to the floor with corner brackets.
Drawers slide very easy in and out. If I put some paste wax where I routed, and the bottom\sides of drawers, they would slide easier.
Why did I use the above materials? It's what I had on hand.
As for "wasted" space in front and behind the drawers? NO, the opposite actually. The folding chairs go in front of the drawers, w\d bars and manual\backup stabilizer and electric jack cranks go behind the drawers.
We recently completed a couple hundred mile trip, everything stayed in its place.
Saw this idea on youtube, modified it for our application.

Looks great Skunked. Our previous trailer, a Forrest River, had a full length one that I loved but wasn't designed well. Congrats on a job well done!

Very nice. Glad you were able to make good use of the wasted space as well. Pull out trays are great, especially for people with small pass through doors like yours. It’s next to impossible to get to items in the back without removing everything else. Nice use of the milk crates as well. They also work great for transporting LP tanks to keep them from sliding, tipping, and rolling around. I had a customs agent look at mine in the back of the truck when I was coming back from Mexico, said “that’s a great idea, I never thought of that”.

Thanks all!
The above mentioned reasons are exactly why I did this!
Great idea, using milk crates to transport the LP tanks!

I think I read your post wrong. For the bottom, what did you use so that the drawer slides out of the storage opening easily? Cabinet drawer slides?? Rollers? I was thinking of building something like this.

Nothing, no rollers, no slides. Wood on wood. That’s the beauty of it. Got the idea from two different videos. One video for this project, another video for some sliding drawers for the truck. Haven’t started that project yet. If I put some paste wax on, it would slide easier.

Great job with this project. I watched a couple of videos online as well and understand what you did. Thanks for posting this. I'm going to mimic you.
