RV Television

Is there any reason to have a 12 volt TV in a fifth wheel as opposed to the standard AC TV?

Some like to have that if they do a lot of boon-docking/dry camping. It doesn’t require an I better or generator. I’ve never seen a need for it, I just start the gen up if we want to watch TV. That also charges my batteries. Really depends on your style of camping.

Apparently the manufacturers agree. It appears they no longer include a 12 volt plug in several, if not all, of their newer models.

Forest River includes 12V TVs in the Sunseeker Class C. I like the idea of not having to hear someone’s generator because they want to watch a movie or the news.

We only camp in full hookups so I don’t have 12V TVs.
