Shower faucets loose

My shower faucet mount is loose on the right side and I don't see a way to tighter this up except to maybe remove the four mounting screws outside of the faucet mounting location, but this area is caulked. Any ideas?

In my camper, there is an access panel on the backside of the shower faucet. If I took that off, I suspect I could put a piece of wood behind the screws that are loosed and tighten to the wood. You wouldn't have to mess with the silicon around the fixture.

Very common to remove the silicone, pull the mounting back to fix the issue. Then just re apply a new bead of RV rated silicone.

That looks like what I need to do. Currently we're out at Buxton, NC, having fun with 40 mph winds. I'll have to tear into it when we get back home.

I replaced our shower faucet last year and used the rear access panel, which I believe George told me about. Unfortunately it was after I had already removed the front. You were smart and asked before you started removing parts :-)

I don't see another access panel for this shower faucet.

Not all trailers have the access panel, Looks like your cutting and removing screws.

Just curious, I know RV rated silicone is important in some areas, but in a shower surround, why wouldn’t regular rub and shower caulk/silicone be ok?

The enclosure and components move around a lot more than in your S&B.

They don’t move much at all. If the any at all they would wiggle themselves apart in the first year.

Funny, we were neighbors and didn't know it. That was a wild storm. Route 12 was closed for a while as you know, I guess it didn't flow well when they reopened it for you.
