You've got so many options it's difficult to wade through them all and be confident the one you ultimately choose is the best one for your needs.
I purchased the WiFiRanger Osprey cat12 router and an unlimited, unthrottled data plan through AT&T.
I'm able to connect using external WiFi or my data plan without issue though I haven't seen a service with just a splash page and no log in required yet. Our next site may not even provide WiFi...
