City Water to Fresh Water Tank
When I have the city water connection, the fresh water tank fills and overflows. I’ve had the camper serviced and they cannot duplicate the problem. When I get home and setup the connection again, I get the same problem. I’m not connecting to the fresh water fill port, only the city water connection. I’ve emptied the fresh water tank and left the drain valve open, then turned on the city water supply and water slowly drains out the fresh water tank drain. Where can the cross over be occurring?

check valve in the pump is stuck. take it apart and clean. OR buy a repair kit from Amazon.

Year, make, model would help us to help you more precisely..
But.. the fresh water is back flowing thru the water pump internal check valve and filling your fresh water tank..
You can either take the fresh water pump check valve assy out and clean it and install to see if that corrects your backflow issue or install a brass check valve at the output side of water pump to stop the backfill.

Most times all it takes is using the water in the tank through the pump a couple days will clear whatever is stuck.

This is where I installed the check valve in the line near the water pump when we had that problem. Have since replaced the pump due to other reasons, and the new pump works just fine with the check valve installed, so didn't have to remove it.

Regardless of what RV you have, the pumps and the problems are the same. Find access to your pump and you can fix this, either repair or replace the pump or install another check valve, and you will be back to normal.

Are you using a pressure regulator when you hook up the water?
