Water tank filler tube
Fresh water tube in my 2018 hideout goes in a U shape from the filler neck down to the under carriage and up to top water tank making for slow fill and water backs out filler tube not vent tube. Is this a normal configuration and should it be fixed

Welcome to the forum
I have cut that loop out of several fill hoses. I would suspect the factory used the “end” of a reel and didn’t want to bother trimming it. You should be ok cutting it if you want.

Filler tube
Thanks for the reply but I just can’t pull it up and cut it. It runs under some copper tubing and can’t cut it because of that.

Disconnect it from the fill port, re route it and you should be good to cut.

Filler tube
Thanks, I have an extended warranty on trailer. Do you think that is something that would be covered?

Probably not covered under extended warranty... They'll argue that it is a manufacturing defect, not a failure and it's not covered. READ YOUR EXCLUSIONS LIST in your extended warranty to be sure... Plus, depending on the deductible, it's probably going to cost you more to pay the deductible than it would to pay a service department the $100 to cut it for you.

Likely not. Extended warranty does not usually cover "manufacturer defects".
Since you'll need to take the trailer in to the dealer and have them initiate a claim to the warranty company anyway, you might be able to convince them to also turn in a claim to Keystone. The worst they can do is say no.
The "box" the fill tube attaches to on the side of the trailer is fairly easy to remove (ours is any way). You might have enough rom to reroute the hose just by removing that piece.

On all my previous travel trailers, they all had the gravity fill port. Mine would back-up and belch a lot too. If the water running into the tank was running too fast, it seemed to always belch back up.
I solved that problem by using an old washing machine hose. I cut one end off so it was just the rubber end. The hose is about 3/4 inch in diameter. I left the other end so it could attach to the garden hose. I'd simply push the washing machine hose into the fill port. If I left the hose long, I'd shove it about 18 inches. It worked great, and never had belching again.
That same hose also comes in handy for flushing out the water heater. Remove the drain plug / anode rod and simply put that hose in the tank. Turn on the water and flush it out. Works great.
I've found a few other uses for that washing machine hose with one end cut off too. It works great for my current camper when winterizing, to such the pink stuff from the gallon jug, to name another use.
If you don't have a washing machine hose laying around, an old garden hose will do the same thing, if you have no objection to some water flowing through a normal garden hose.
But the reason i like the old washing machine hose is because it's so flexible and follows the plastic tubing on your trailer fill port without damaging anything. Normal garden hoses are much more stiff, and don't flex and bend easy.
