How to remove AC outlet covers?

I have a 2006 Cougar 289 EFS (same as BHS). I would like to remove the AC outlet covers to check the air passageways for blockage per previous posts but can't figure out how they come off. I have tried gently prying but don't want to exert much force and perhaps break the cover.

There are little holes around the cover and I have tried inserting a small punch into one to see if it releases a "catch" or keeper but no joy.

Any suggestions?

The outlet covers (that turn to direct air) just pull off, they're plastic covers that just snap back into place, I've had mine off several times in the past. Grasp one side first from under the ring and pry upward, it should pop off, I know I know it just breaks your heart the first time that you try it, after that you'll be a pro! LOL

Thanks Flyguy! I'll (gulp) give it a try, they seem so well seated, don't release with a gentle prying pressure.

It does take a fair amount of pressure to get it to pop off, again start from one side instead of both sides at the same time.
