I've never had that happen and haven't heard anyone complaining about it but they may have issues that I've not heard of. Is your trailer "bouncing"? Is there anything that can be done to minimize the bounce....different suspension, lower pressures etc. Is the truck stable or complicating the bounce? I ask because I had a 1/2 ton that let the trailer beat us and everything else up. P tires and no suspension support on the 1/2 ton (it was a year old) let that trailer bounce to high heaven. Reckon the problem might be along those lines instead of the toilet?

Yes, we have the "perfect storm", a 310 rimless toilet in a rear bath!

Since this is a fairly new toilet (replacement from a poorly built 300) I would prefer not upgrading it quite yet to the 320.

I will try the drained bowl trick next week when we pull it again. It only happens when we have traveled down some really bad roads, but enough to make it a pain and a concern.

Thanks for all the responses and no, I will not be putting any of it behind my ears...

We have the "Dreaded" rear bathroom. We have put around 8000 miles on our 5ver in since last year. We have traveled on both our "Wonderful" smooth interstate system and country roads. We have never had an issue with an water spillage out of the 310. We do what others have recommended once we disconnect from shore water we do a quick release of pressure in the "Terlet" line and end up with just enough water to keep the seal wet until we get to our next destination.
We have thought about getting a 320 but for another resaon.

I keep reading comments about keeping the seals wet.

WHY?

The seals were not "wet" from manufacture, to installation in the toilet, through the sales, shipping and warehousing until Installation in the RV, then shipping to the dealer, time on sales lot, until FIRST USE by the buyer.

They don't make them out of leather anymore.

They are also pretty much odor sealed when dry as well.

From the time we started RVing I have always seen and heard to keep it wet to keep the fragrant aromas from seeping out. It may not be true but, I ain't taking no chances

The toilet isn't being used before it's sold. The water on the valve is just like the water in the tank, it helps prevent feces from adhering to the plastic. I don't recall the instructions that came with our toilet explaining the why but just explaining the how to add water without flushing and stating that it should have water before use.

I'm a retired truck driver and we used to joke that California should have warning signs posted stating "Caution! Smooth road ahead!"

Roads are like weather, food, people, etc. The places folks are from have the best food and the best people and worst roads and weather. If someone knows of a state with great, well maintained toads I'm listening. I'd like to drive on then and remenis what it "used to be like".

Ahhh , DW asks: did you do your "Toilet yet?"
After all we had to walk the 100' down the path to the "outhouse" before heading out into public!
