Bathroom light

Ok so Im working on fixing the camper we bought up. The light in the bathroom will turn on but the leds in t will not get bright. Im assuming worn out. How do I replace this and is it the entire light or I take the light unit out? Any help would be great.

LED lights are typically full replacement. They aren’t expensive. Just do a search on Amazon, etc, for LED RV lights and you’ll get a good selection. Just find another one that matches and rewire.

That looks to me like they’re hard wired in, seeing the rivet on the LED board. Need a dome light that has T-10 sockets. Then you can switch out LEDs as needed by color or brightness. Plus, you won’t have to replace the whole unit if something goes wrong. Just a new LED bulb. Think about getting the type with a regulator for power fluctuations. Probably will never happen…

From the price tag on the back of that fixture I would have to say that it is aftermarket and installed by the previous owner. They are not expensive ($8.20 ) as you can see. I would find one on line or a RV store with replaceable bulbs so you can choose the color and brightness you want. LEDs have come a long way in the past few years and the difference between "warm white" and "daylight" and colors in between are very noticeable.

Good luck and go to the "User CP" at the left hand top of the page and create a signature with the make, model and year of your trailer and tow vehicle so folks can give better answers to future questions. JM2¢, Hank

I would start by checking the voltage at the fixture.. LED "bulbs" do not typically burn out. The drivers become defective. You may have a poor connection causing low lumens.
