Cargo Carrier - Montana 3400 RL

Hi All,
We have a 2010 Montana 3400 RL and would like to install a cargo carrier on the rear of the RV. Trouble is, seems like the only way to install would be to cut off a portion of the ladder to the roof - any suggestions? Thanks so much. Full timing since October and LOVING IT!

I'm a member of the Everest Owners Club. Here is a link to some pictures on how a member got his golf cart onboard. May be a little over kill but a good design that could be made smaller.
