Satellite dish dome

We have a TV satellite dish dome and every time it rains, we loose signal. Does anybody have any ideas of how to prevent this? We were going to put Rain-X on it but it says you shouldn't.

Any help would be appreciated, Super Bowl tomorrow

Rain or Clouds?

Being an old rocket guy and being involved in launching the GPS and satellites for TV reception I can offer only this. Rain itself should not effect the antenna. Clouds on the other hand will block the signals. Living in Florida we get some really heavy rains and lose reception quite often. Since you are using a dome all I can say is make sure that you have the strongest signal possible and that should help.
