Equa flex wearing??

I have attached a couple of pics of my suspension on my 2018 Carbon toy hauler. Looking for opinions as to whether this is normal wear or not. Have about 10,000 miles on the trailer towing.
Tires are all wearing evenly.

If upgrades are needed......suggestions....costs??

The first picture looks like it's broken.
I personally would swap it out for the Moryde SRE4000
Do your homework, check reviews and videos, there are other systems.

Hard to tell but I agree with Dan, that first pic looks broken. Did it lose the rubber cushion inside?

From what I can find looks like you have a 19k gvw trailer. IMO the EquaFlex would be gone tomorrow and the SRE4000 installed with wet bolts. Also (again it's hard to tell in the pics) it looks like you have the lighter duty shackles (1/4") instead of the HD 1/2" shackles. Again, with a 19k trailer I would be making that upgrade.

The rubber is inside....I cannot see anything that is broken, just the rub marks on the yellow. The trailer us not sitting level so that is why the parts look tilted.

Yes it is the lighter duty shackle.

I talked to several shop folks, service manager types etc. etc. and what I came up with is this; Equaflex was a Lippert attempt at providing a cushioned suspension - their first and not their best. The Road Armor was an attempt to improve the Equaflex and compete with MorRyde.

I removed a virtually new Road Armor suspension system and replaced with a MorRyde SRE4000. Why? In all conversations with the above non biased individuals (I hope) the MorRyde was always the top choice if you didn't mind spending the money. Watching this trailer with the previous Road Armor the trailer just did not appear to ride as smoothly as my previous trailer with the MorRyde suspension. I HATED to spend the money to do it but I am very happy I did.

For you, with that size trailer and those small shackles, no wet bolts, EqualFlex suspension etc........I would dig into axle size, springs, shackles etc. and just fix it up. JMO

The current suspension parts are not the best out there... no grease zerks on the bolts and the spring eyes have the Lippert "never fail bushings.. Im guessing"

Replace everything with MorRyde and you will have a setup that will give many years of trouble free service if properly maintained
