1 key for both exterior doors?

I have a 2015 bullet 251 and the front door lock is different than the back door lock(both locks in the front door are the same, both locks in the back door are the same,i cant use the key from the back door to unlock the front door).I want to know if it is possible to get the exterior door locks re-keyed so i only have to use 1 key for all 4 locks in the doors and also the exterior storage locks.i have called several local locksmiths and they cant do it.the dealer said that thats how they come and i cant get matching locks???????any suggestions out there

You can get matching locks, but you will need to order (and pay for) another set. Just look at your keys and choose which number you want. That number is the key code, and entry sets can be ordered with a specific key.

When I got the recalled broken door lock, I ordered and asked for the same number lock as the other door, makes sense. As said look at the key there is the number. It starts with HF than 3 numbers like (HF340) and call/email fastec. To change out the whole door lock takes 5 mins if you know how to turn a screw driver. I do not know the prices.

IIRC the entire door set is about $75.00 retail. That's inside and outside handles, bolt and mounting hardware.

Here is the link to the FASTEC factory sales page. You can buy keys, lock cylinders and/or replacement locksets. A REMINDER: If you buy replacement cylinders or locksets, remember that there are two cylinders in locksets with a dead bolt and there are locksets available on the page with and without deadbolts, so be sure you order what you really need and pay attention to what you have so you can replace it with a similar item !!!!!

Keys

My 2013 Springdale had the two separate keys too, but my 2014 Cougar has one key for both doors. I was thinking Keystone finally made it standard to have the one key. Bummer

I have the 2 different keys as well and 5 keys overall. I just put up with it. I have my key chain set up that the door closest to the outside kitchen is with the key to the outside kitchen and outside shower and the key towards the front is with the storage key and the hitch lock.

Lots of our customers say they use a dab of nail polish to identify them.

If you use the link that John gave above you will see that you can just purchase new cylinders for ONE lockset to solve your problem. Call FASTEC and tell them what you want to do. Their customer service is excellent it will only cost about $10 - $15 . Good luck and let us know the outcome, Hank

I will make a guess here about the doors and locks. Since they are made by a vendor not keystone. Keystone buys thousands at a time and workers just grab the next doors from the stack to mount on the trailer and a finnish guy puts decals on it. So no one cares about the door lock numbers, only that they have locks.

Just changeing out cylinders is great. They send the tool to change them and it will take acouple minutes. It took more time to read the instructions than to change them out. Sounds like alot less spendy than buying the whole door lock. Well worth the time and money.
