Try buying a sheet of OSB or Plywood... What was $7.50 last year is $35 at Lowe's today.... They say, "But we can't get it from our normal supplier and this is the price they charge us." I don't think they're lying about it, it is a different mill stamp on the OSB.
5/8" OSB (same thickness as many travel trailer "sturdi-floor" systems) is $48 per sheet. What used to cost Keystone $50 to build a floor in a 26' trailer now costs them $300-400 depending on supplier contracts. Add the costs of 3/8" OSB to sheet the roof decking and we're looking at $1000 increase in materials for the floor/roof and that doesn't include interior walls or cupboard materials ... If you can "imagine the MSRP on a 2022 model..... They are going to be introduced at RV dealers nationwide in the next 4 weeks....
And, don't take your trailer to Home Depot to buy 4x6x20 foot pressure treated timbers.... WHEW !!!!! We built out house for less than the price of 20 timbers <+
