It’s not just a Ford thing, I looked at Ram and Chevy and GMC and the minimum dealer markup over sticker I found was $5,000 for anything on the lot and I looked within 500 miles of my home.

I got lucky and paid no dealer markup, plus I was able to deduct a factory cash incentive and a First Responder appreciation discount. Combined with the equity from my trade, and a very favorable 48 month financing rate, I will never be upside down in my truck’s value.
