As has been said before, drive them and see which you like best...
No worries about the trip to the cemetery. Most funeral homes still use Cadillacs.

My opinion is go drive all of them and buy the one you are most comfortable in. They are all good unless you get the odd one that is troublesome. That can happen with any of them. I have had and been happy with all of the big three. This time I went with the best deal. The local Ford dealer was trying to get rid of the '16 trucks to make room for a bunch of new aluminum '17s.

I own the Ram. Ford and Chevy both drove fine. I like the (relatively) simplicity of the I-6 6.7L diesel and with 800-900 ft/lbs of torque, it really doesn't matter which one of the 3 brands that you pick.

My friends that work at Ford are told first thing that any MSU Bobcat fans from Portola are NOT to be allowed to ride to the cemetery in a Ford! (I couldn't help myself)

i have a 16 GMC Denali HD gas motor. 6.0 is the motor size and the gas mileage it gets with a Carbon33 on behind. Love the truck other than the MPG.

I traded in my '16 GMC 2500 and went back to Chevy and got a '16 3500 DRW. Love the ride of the chevy's both towing and just riding. We went with a DRW for when we decide to upgrade to a 5'er. We just have a 32' TT but now, I have the truck to upgrade the camper

I test drove a ford and a few of my buddies have fords, and the ride was just too stiff, I couldn't imagine towing with one. As for Rams, they have a good payload and towing, but too many issues. A buddy of mine has a Ram 2500 and it's in the shop more then he drives it, he's trading it in shortly.

Each have pro's and con's, it'll come down to what you really want and your budget

Thanks everyone. My search for a diesel DRW continues. I haven't driven a Ram yet.

Fly down here where even the soccer moms drive a dually... by the time you drive it home it'll be broken in and ready to tow...

Javi, I have family in Gunbarrel so I've done some internet searches within 150 miles of there. Prices for used seem to be close to what they are in this area. If I find something there I'll be heading that way.

My thoughts.....I have always been a Chevy guy but have had Fords and now a Ram. The Ford diesels seem to be more hot rods than the Rams. Higher RPM's. Nothing fits me better than a GM seat. In my Ram I'm always having to slide across the seat to get closer to the window to feel right. Then I get a great view of the A pillar grab handle. But..that Cummins is a monster. Great low end torque. I have almost 20,000 miles on it with no issues. If I found any of the 3 that was what I wanted, I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on any of them.

I've always driven Chevys and they have never let me down. My dad retired from Chevrolet and we've been loyal forever. It has worked for us. I'm sure others on here have done the same thing with other brands. What I do know is that I am familiar with the products. They don't change that much year to year and that makes taking care of them and maintenance easier. Good luck with what you decide. It's really hard to go wrong unless you don't buy enough truck!

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I've had trucks from all three and I've found that I prefer Rams.

If one company could get ahold of the Cummins and the Allison transmission, that would be the truck to have! Until then, buy the one you like the best and enjoy.

I will say if you can find a dually with wide-track front end, you will be even happier. Ford's F450 pick-up has it. There are some years of the F350 that came with it too.

The wide track front end was an option on the F350 and standard on the F450 for my model year. I can definitely recommend this. 40 degree wheel cut. I know this sounds like nothing compared to any medium duty or heavy duty truck with the 55 degree wheel cut but the turning circle is still better by far than my 2000 Chevy 3500 and 2004.5 Chevy 3500 HD dually's and that with 4 wheel drive. The negative though is that there are more turns of the wheel to achieve it. Gives you a good workout.

Alright I'll jump in and be bias.

Did you know that Dodge and Ford both have heated tailgates? Yup, so your hands don't get cold when pushing them.

Just buy a Chevy or GMC...

Sort of like FORD = fix or repair daily?

I have no dog in this hunt but I can tell you that I am a very particular, analytical person. My son is a car salesman (GM) drives a Chevy and tells me I need to buy a Ford. I have bought more new trucks than he has ever dreamed about and I have different views.

Ford: so so engine/drivetrain; so so longevity. Interior has always been one of the best but they have just not kept up with Ram with the interiors. Price is mid range of the 3 (more or less).

Chevy/GM: Allison tranny - tops. Duramax - good but nothing special - Ford and Chevy tie on this. Ergonomics, for us, fails. Price is ridiculous for what you get compared to the other 2.

Ram: Cummins - the other 2 can't compare. Aisin vs Allison...the Allison is better but the Aisin ain't no slacker. Ford....well..... Ram has the best interior based on several tests by various publications. Best towing (last I remember), and best pricing usually.

All that said; I've purchased 21 new Ford trucks for personal use. I stopped. Used to love their ergonomics but their drivetrains were always last. I've only purchased 3 new Chevy trucks (years ago). Loved the engines, did not like the trannys and the interiors were Spartan. I never dreamed of buying a Dodge truck - ever - until they started the new body style. Even then it was 2001 before I bought a 1500 Off Road 4x4. The 5.9 w/4.10 was great. Since 2001 I've purchased 8 Dodge/Ram trucks. They improve constantly. The interiors are best in class confirmed by most truck tests. The Cummins can't be touched by the others. The 6.4 hemi is exceptional.

All of this is 100% subjective and many will not agree. That's why we always have the Ram/Chevy/GMC/Ford debates......there is no winner so we all inevitably walk away with the same preconceptions we came in with...........
