Best truck I have ever owned. 6.7 is an awesome engine. Lots of torque and horses to more than get the job done.

I had the bed sprayed and it made the truck look new. The previous owner didn't have a liner in it so it looked like it had been used. No dents just scratches. I had a liner in the last truck and it had to be cut to accommodate the 5ers rails. When I took out the rails I could see so much debris and stuff had gotten under that liner I decided that I would do the spray liner.

2011 f350

27,000 miles, DRW, inbed Reese hitching platform, 50 gallon transfer flow with tracII controler (never need to transfer fuel), Lariat edition, crew cab, towing Montana 3625RE (15,600 lbs.) added super springs, just in case ever needed and works when on the washboard roads. fully loaded

Now to answer your question no problems but a computer re-flash, and steering shock replaced. Do not like the sync system at all but then do not like computers either.

DW will not drive anything so I do all the driving , keep up the maintiance as per the control idiot in the box, add Cetain boost (from Ford)

You sure about adding the Cetane to the 6.7? I know I have to add DEF but I gave away 3 bottles of it with the old 06 6 litre.

My dad still adds cetane on his. I'm not sure though if the manual suggests using it or if the dealer said to. He's just always used it since his 6.4.

Man we needs pics of your truck, sounds really nice

With that weight of your Montana isn't that putting you close too over weight condition?? or is it fine for that DRW??

Yep, I do 8 oz of PM22 in every 30 gal fillup.. I see better fuel mileage and quieter engine.

Hmmm...the Ford manual kinda sceered me away from using a cetane booster. It says diesel is blended to compensate for cold weather. But this is my first diesel. I'll look for the Motorcraft cetane booster I guess.

And.....if I'm interpreting the manual correctly...if you tow, you should be using 5w-40 oil. My dealer doesn't even stock it. I brought my own Rotella T6 5w-40 synthetic.

I like my 6.7. Haven't towed yet, but I'm expecting good things. I've already posted small gripes about the lights and DEF fluid level indicator. I just found another one though:
"Low tire pressure". Uh-oh. I wonder which one?? That would be nice to know! Every maker except Ford tells you!

Fortunately, we have not had a low pressure warning on our 2011 Ford.
However, whenever I rotate the tires, I have to 'retrain' the system so it knows which tire is which. Seems to me I would not have to do that if the system doesn't identify which tire has lost pressure? Maybe the newer trucks are different?

I believe the specific tire is available via the OBD-II port but it just doesn't display it to the driver. I'd have to go look it up. So it tracks which tire in the computer, it just doesn't share the secret.

we bought the Ford cetane after a conversation with the dealers disel mechanic. Given we bought the Ford extended warranty I will follow his instructions and suggestions to the letter.

I bought a bottle of it myself. It may be my imagination but the engine does sound better.
What hitch are you getting?
I sure like the clean bed with b&w turnover. I bought a Curt adapter that drops in the b&w hole, and used the Curt 5th hitch I already had. No rails bolted through the bed!

I put the hijacker hitch back in the new truck. Its served us well. I am gonna get a bed mat for the bed as well to cover the rails and spray liner when I'm not pulling.
