Last month I stopped at my local Camping World for items before leaving on a 4,000 round trip. The cashier sold me on a Good Sam Roadside Assistance promo that was happening, 2 years for $99, a great deal. Already had an exteneded Platinum Warranty from camping world for my 5ver but was with a little known company as far as the Roadside Assisitance.
Upon arriving home from our trip I received our Good Sam Roadside Assistance package and my card good through 2014 just like they said. I even used the program while in Colorado on a busted wheel, no problems.
Yesterday I received a Good Sam Platinum Roadside Assistance package in the mail saying that Good Sam and Camping World had merged and that I now have this new roadside "Platinum" assistance and the cards are good until 2017, the same date as my extended warranty at no additional cost. The cards even had a different acoount number on them.
I called Good Sam to see if I could get my $99 back even though I had used the service three weeks ago explaning that I did not want two policies. Expecting a fight I was ready. The young man who's name was Bob looked at the programs and said the he would be glad to refund my money and was sorry that we were not notified of the pending merger and consolidation of certain programs. Kudos for Good Sam RV Club.
