Passport table?

Our Passport 2910bh has a table that fits onto two lips and allows the dineete area (on the slideout) to act as a bed. So far, we are not real pleased with it. Once when in the store position it slipped down at an angle and was a challenge to get out. It also appears to be much heavier than it needs to be. Thirdly, when in place, it is darn confining and my legs barely slide under it. Wonder if others have had similar issues and or found solutions? I would even think of buying another table that was lighter and had a bit more leg room. Right now we are putting it in the middle of the queen bed because we dont want to fight it if it slips down at an angle.

We just picked up our 2011 Passport 2910 in June and spent 9 days in it on our first time out.Everything worked great but we also had issues with the dinette table being too low and the feet working their way out during travel. When we got home I went to the local hardware store and bought a piece of all thread and I think they are called thread extenders. (look like 2 inch long nuts) I cut 3 inch long pieces of all thread and put them together with lock tight. Now table is at normal height and the feet are almost touching the floor when collapsed so table cantmove or tip too much when put down.
