1 of 2 electric slide outs and awning inop

Just moved my brothers 2016 Springdale 253. Has been sitting in Rv lot for 3 years. Has not been on road. 1 of 2 electric slide outs does not move at all. No sounds when out button pushed, awning is the same. battery is good, other slide out works. Slide out may not have been extended for 2 year period. Is there a locking mechanism?

When you say battery is good, is it new? Do you know it is fully charged? There is no lock out mechanism. Sounds more like there is no power. Tome to get the multimeter out.

I would be very concerned that the motors in the slides on this particular trailer are corroded and no longer serviceable. The manufacturer of the slide mechanisms all recommend a regular, periodic "exercise regimen" for the motor. If the slides on a Springdale sat for 3 years with the motors not being activated, chances are very good that when you get to the step of removing the motor, if you disassemble it, I'd suspect you'll find the armature corroded and the brushes "unserviceable".

My guess is that you're going to need to rebuild the motors at least and if you can't find anyone to rebuild them, then you'll need to replace them.
